Badges you can't buy
We score dealerships on how clearly they price cars, using anonymous quotes and contracts that buyers chose to share. No dealership can pay for a badge, and any badge can be lowered or removed if the numbers change.
The four levels
Quotes from this dealership are usually complete and readable, with no repeated pattern of surprise charges.
Transparency score 60+ with at least 5 analyzed deals.
Consistently clear quotes and a low rate of add-on charges buyers didn't ask about.
Transparency score 70+ with a low-confidence evidence base or better.
Strong pricing clarity across many buyers, and paperwork that usually matches the quote.
Transparency score 80+ with a medium- or high-confidence evidence base.
Top tier on every standard we can measure, backed by a large amount of buyer evidence.
Transparency score 90+ with a high-confidence evidence base.
What we measure
Every standard below is measured from real, anonymous paperwork. Standards with too little evidence are left unscored instead of guessed, which lowers the confidence level.
Quote completeness
20% weightHow often written quotes include the full picture: price, taxes, every fee, term and rate.
Pricing transparency
18% weightHow often the price a buyer was quoted matched the price that was advertised.
Add-on fee frequency
20% weightHow often quotes carried optional dealer charges beyond taxes and government fees.
Contract consistency
18% weightHow often the final contract matched the numbers on the earlier written quote.
Buyer feedback
12% weightApproved buyer answers about clear pricing, explained fees and matching paperwork.
Response time
6% weightHow often a buyer's written question got an answer within one business day.
Pricing competitiveness
6% weightHow the typical quoted price compares with market value for the same vehicle.
Never for sale
Dealerships cannot buy, sponsor or negotiate a badge. Payment plays no part in scoring.
Re-checked regularly
Scores are recalculated on a rolling schedule and whenever enough new evidence arrives.
Privacy first
Only aggregated, anonymous data is used. Nothing on a profile can identify a buyer.

Badges describe measured patterns in past paperwork. They are estimates, not a promise about your deal, and they never imply a dealership is perfect.
