Before You Sign provides independent, buyer-centered analysis. Referral relationships never influence our Deal Scores, rankings, safety scores, reliability scores, or the order of our recommendations.

Some links on Before You Sign — including "View Photos & Listing" on real inventory cards, and certain external tools such as vehicle-history reports — are partner or affiliate links. When you click one of these links or complete an eligible action (like requesting an out-the-door price or purchasing a vehicle-history report), Before You Sign may receive a referral fee at no additional cost to you.

Not every external link is monetized. Any monetized link is clearly labeled "Partner link" near the button, before you click.

Vehicle rankings are computed from buyer-centered signals only: your preferences and budget, reliability data, safety data, estimated cost of ownership, mileage, condition, geographic relevance, current availability, and deal quality when supported. Commission amounts and monetization data are not inputs to any scoring or ranking function. An automated test in our codebase enforces this.

If a placement is paid, it is labeled "Sponsored" and is never combined with an organic "Best Deal" label. Sponsored placements are separate from organic recommendations.

If you use an optional feature to request availability, an out-the-door price, a VIN, a fee breakdown, or a test drive, we will tell you exactly which dealer will receive your request and exactly which contact fields will be sent. Nothing is preselected, and we never share your uploaded documents with a dealer automatically. Your consent is recorded with a timestamp.

We do not scrape marketplaces. We do not fabricate listings. We do not sell your personal information. We do not let compensation change what we recommend.
